Laskar Pelangi is the title of a very famous novel by Andrea Hirata, who popularized Belitung as a tourist destination through the film Laskar Pelangi. The purpose of this tour is to visit the places in the novel/film Laskar Pelangi. One of the interesting places on this trip is Pice Dam. This dam, called Pice, was built by a Dutch architect and is located in the city of Gantong/Gantung. This dam was previously used to raise the water level of the Lenggang River which was needed for tin mining activities along the river. Apart from that, there is Samak Hill. If you want to see the wide expanse of sea from the highest peak of Manggar city, you can go to Samak Hill. Previously, this place was the residence of Dutch mining officials.
Notes: We will provide lunch at one of the restaurants in Manggar city. We will provide snacks and drinks during the journey to and from Tanjung Pandan.

Great time Had a few mishaps but it was all part of the experience and we really enjoyed it. Both Lilly and Doni were excellent, very friendly and helpful at all times. And Santika Room is better than Marriott. Bigger more and more food just lacking English abit but still better than Marriott. Marriott is more suitable for western people as they can speak english better and have more generic western food for breakfast. Rooms much much smaller Hope to see you again soon
