Determination of the Badau Museum for the public or the general public itself was formalized in 1982. Initiated by the local Regional Government, the Badau Museum was built and established with the aim that some of the Badau Kingdom's legacies and stories will be preserved and preserved. The key guardian of the Badau Museum itself is currently a royal descendent of the 10th grandson of King Badau named Ki Johar Juki. Located in the front yard of the museum, we will find a statue of the royal army of Badau carrying a spear. This statue itself is a symbol of the triumph of the Kingdom of Badau troops who are able to master several regions around Belitung.
Some Badau Kingdom heritage collections that can be found in the Badau Museum are gong, dried, sword, agarwood, kelinang, tray, dalong pot, jug and others. Some of the weapons here are said to have been used to fight the invaders. One of the most interesting collections at the Badau Museum is a pair of proud spears from the Badau community called Tambu Berambu or Berlek 13. This spear is very special because it was made by Daloeng Muyang Gresik who was the first king of Badau and also a student of Sunan Gresik. This pair of sticks according to the caretaker is male and female and cannot be separated. Once the two spears were separated. But strangely, in a short time one of the spears returned to the Badau Museum and returned in pairs.
