Uniqueness of Pasir Island
If you visit Pasir island, there is one thing that you shall not miss. Don't hesitate to jump into the shallow sea water especially on North cost of this island. The sea is clean whith soft and truly white sand at the bottom with low slope in a wide area. Please look into the sea, you will find a special creature of Pasir island. They are s big red star fish. These star fishes are spread surrounding Pasir island. The visitor usually will not let the chance to take picture with these unique sea creature.
Description Pasir Island
Pasir Island (Sand Island) actually is not an island. This place is a pile of hirst that only consist of sands. The interesting matter of this island is the hirst will only appear during low tide. During high tide this island will be hidden under the sea. This island is very small, moreless half size of football field. There is no other creatures like plants, except special white sands of Belitung

You must also take attention to your own safety. In the South coast of the island the sea current sometimes quite strong, event the sea is also shallow. We do not suggest to hunt the star fish in this area. Please always use your life vest everytime you are in the water, in case you flown by the current, you will still save.

During low tide, this island will be visited by many tourists as their stop point of the island hopping trip. The scenery surrounding is nice, circled by several small island closed among each other such as Kepayang island, Babi island, Tukong Kelayang island and Batu Berlayar. The shortest distance to neightbour island is to Kepayang island, only separated by shallow sea water as high as hip during low tide.
Access to Pasir Island
Important ! Please protect the environment. BRINGING STAR FISH OUTSIDE THIS PLACE IS PROHIBITED. If you take starfish for taking a photo, please do not let them stay long in the air, they can be die. Soon return the star fish into the water after you take photos. The star fish will not bite, neither poisoning.

ReplySand islands can only be seen when sea water is receding. Around this island there are many sea stars. Please note, starfish cannot be taken out of this place. When photographed, the starfish must remain in the water like this photo. Let's protect the nature of Belitung.
