This dance involves as many as 800 dancers. Among them 50 children from the Belitong Dance Studio, 36 SDN 21 Tanjungpandan students, 64 SMPN 1 Tanjungpandan students, and 70 students from Sijuk. The coloring liquid adorns the dancers' bodies and draws the attention of the audience.
The Tin Pendulang dance performance with a stage in the form of a stretch of soft white sand of Tanjungtinggi Beach lasted about 30 minutes. This appearance won a record award from the Original Indonesian Record (ORI).
The dancers, who number in the hundreds, were the object of the photographers' lens shots. Not a few people also asked for photos with the audience. The dancers, who are still covered in colorful liquids, sparked people's desire to take pictures.
FLP 2015 has generally experienced great success. The interest of the audience consisting of the public and tourists is the benchmark for this performance. Even the Tin Pendulang Dance was officially designated as the original Belitong dance.
The dances by Andrea Hirata will later be used as welcoming guests and big events in Belitung. The studio, which fosters the dancers, is always ready to prepare the dancers to perform when needed. (*)
