To get to the location of Marangbulo Beach itself, it does require a long journey from the Seliu Island pier. There is at least a 7 km distance that tourists must travel from the pier in about 20 minutes by two-wheeled vehicles. However, when the waves in the sea are big, the fishermen do not go to sea and change their jobs as farmers. Some of the products or commodities that are produced from Seliu Island are mango, chips, salted fish and copra. Interestingly, the village atmosphere on Seliu Island is still really felt. Even so you feel the village atmosphere here, visitors will not find a car. Two-wheeled vehicles or motorbikes on Seliu Island can be counted on fingers. Most of the vehicles on this Seliu Island are paddle bikes which in Belitung is called Kentangin.

To go to Seliu Island, you must first go to Teluk Joy which is located in Membalong Village. The time needed to get to Teluk Gembira from Tanjung Pandan City itself is about 1 hour. Meanwhile, if you depart from HAS Hanandjoeddin Airport after boarding the plane, the time needed to get to Teluk Gembira is about 1 hour 15 minutes. From Teluk Gembira, you will cross by fishing boat to the Seliu Island pier. The cost of taking a fishing boat from Teluk Gembira to Seliu Island Pier is around IDR 20,000 / person.
